Dear Eleanor: How sad to read of the passing of my good friend, Nick; a great American and Naval Officer to whom so many owe so much. We were company mates at the Naval Academy and my first remembrances of Nick were in our Plebe year in chemistry lab where I was lucky to have had him as a partner. I always enjoyed chatting with him (and you) at our every five year reunions. It is a sad day to learn of his passing. He left a proud legacy of duty, honor and contribution to our nation and Navy.
