Patrick Breslin Obituary
AGE: 77 • Smyrna
Patrick Joseph Breslin, "Pat" of Smyrna, DE, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Breslin was born May 8, 1937 in Wilmington, DE, the son of the late James and Claire Breslin. Pat and his brother Pete co-founded their family's contracting business, Breslin Contracting, Inc. Pat enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren at the family beach house. Other enjoyments were gardening, fishing, and building and flying his model airplanes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his two sons, Patrick and Shawn Breslin; and his twin brother, Pete. He is survived by two daughters, Tracy Filliben (Gene) and Terry Suess (Bill); his daughter-in-law, Michele Breslin; 12 grandchildren, Lindsay, Joey, Devin, Taylor and Jeff Filliben; Billy, Tori and CJ Suess; Matthew and Amber Breslin; and Shawn Michael and Jessica Breslin; two great grandchildren, Alaina and Matthew Jenkins; two sisters, Sally Lanouette and Liz Whitfield (Gene); four brothers, James Breslin, Billy Breslin, Charles Breslin and Thomas Breslin (Kathy); and a multitude of extended family members.
A viewing will be held Sunday evening, March 1, 2015 from 5-8 pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 9:30 am at St. Polycarp's Roman Catholic Church, located at 135 Ransom Lane in Smyrna. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery in Newark, DE. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.

We have such respect and love for the entire Breslin family and are so sorry for your losses over the last few years.
Pat could be serious and firm when needed, but always had such a generous and kind heart. He gave us so much, and we are greatful to have shared part of his life.
