Rita H. Horgan

Mrs. Rita H. Horgan, age 80, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital.

Rita, a lifelong Wilmington resident, was a homemaker and dedicated wife and mother. Rita's happiest moments were those spent with her children and grandchildren. She was much loved during her lifetime, and will be missed greatly by her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her 7 children, Michael Horgan and wife, Beth, of Cary, NC, Stephen L. Horgan of Wilmington, DE, James P. Horgan and wife, Anne, of West Chester, PA, Marianne O'Donnell and husband, Bernard, of Wilmington, DE, Mark Horgan and companion, Mark Harvath, of St. John, USVI, Karen Coning and husband, Richard, of Lewes, DE and Rita Marie Moore and husband, Charles, of Coronado, CA. Rita was predeceased by her husband, James L. Horgan, also of Wilmington, DE.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann's Church, Gilpin Ave. and Union St., Wilmington, on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at 11 am. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 1900 Delaware Ave., Wilmington, on Tuesday evening, January 10, 2006, from 7-9 pm.
