Robert Eastlake Obituary
AGE: 93 • Wilmington
Robert Thomas Eastlake born in Jermyn, PA to Reuben and Mary (Seymour) died peacefully on February 21, 2017 at Sunrise Senior Living in Wilmington, Delaware.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Alice L. Spangenberg and a daughter, Linda Gail Novello (Paul). He is survived by his son Robert William (Barbara Hahn); his grandchildren: Pamela Spiering (Shawn), Paul Tyler Smallwood, Alyssa Novello, Jody Pettoruto (David) and Brian Dowd (Danielle); his great-grandchildren: Abigail and Aubriana, Astra, Paul, Gabriel and Shayna, Sarah and Jacob, and Olivia and Andrew; and his brother, William Eastlake of Springfield, MO.
Pastor Eastlake graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale PA and Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. Bob was dedicated to his family and his faith. He built and pastored several congregations with the Assemblies of God beginning in Nanticoke, then Shippensburg, and Erie PA before moving to Wilmington DE in 1966. He served as chaplain at the Ferris School for Boys and The Bridge House.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 26 from 12:30pm-1:30pm, followed at 1:30 by a funeral service at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville. Interment at Gracelawn Memorial Park will be held privately. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.mccreryandharra.com

Heaven is a little brighter with Pastor Eastlake there. He was a great man of God! A man of much wisdom. The teachings I learn from him over the years that he was my Pastor was invaluable. He always stuck to the Word and as a young Christian I soaked it up. I will always remember him, and am so appreciative of knowing him, as my friend and Pastor.

Pastor Eastlake was my family's Pastor since 1966, and provided comfort and support to us during the deaths of my Father in 1996, and my Mother in 1998. He was a very comforting and stabilizing counselor and servant of God.
