Ruth Hicks Obituary
Of Harrington, DE, passed away on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 71.
She was born in Warren, OH, the daughter of the late Fred and Louise Simpson. She was a homemaker. Her hobbies included playing Bingo and going to Elvis Concerts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ballard R. Hicks, Sr. and her three children, Ballard R. Hicks, Jr., Daniel Lee Hicks, and Michael Anthony Hicks. She is survived by his children, Sheila Brooks and her husband Wayne of New Castle, Tina Barlow and her husband Nicholas of Newark, Charles Hicks and his wife Dina of Houston, William Hicks of Felton and Delta Smith and her husband Andy of Felton; fianc‚, Leroy Clayville, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 at 2 pm, in the chapel of BERRY-SHORT FUNERAL HOME, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE, where friends may call Friday after noon. Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.

I miss you so much Momma ...I do believe this is the hardest thing I will ever have to go thru. I just know that you are in heaven with daddy, Danny, Sonny boy, and Micheal.
