Theodore Cebenka Obituary
AGE: 52 • New Castle
Theodore R. Cebenka 52, of New Castle, DE passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, December 19, 2016.
Ted graduated from Dickinson High School and was a pipe-fitter with Local 74. He retired this past July after 30 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed golfing, fishing , walking in the woods, listening to loud music, playing chess and backgammon, watching movies, family vacations and gatherings, but most of all spending "Quiet Times" with his family at home. He was predeceased by his father Theodore S. Cebenka, his mother, Viginina R. Cebenka, his brother, Robert J. Cebenka, his grandmother, Rita Abbott, his cousin Dustin Walker, his in-laws, Raymond and Rebecca DeToro, and his uncle, Jim Denike. Ted is survived by his wife of 32 years Robin Cebenka, his daughters, Chelsea Cebenka and Sasha Wright, his grandchildren, Aaliyah, Isaiah, Jy'Air, Jayden and Xavier, his grand-dog, Cinder, his sisters, Debbie Hudson (Jeff) and Rebecca Welch (Joe), and many amazing uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved immensely. He will be greatly missed by all.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Corleto Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union St. Wilm, DE. Friday, December 23, at 1:00PM, where visitation will begin at 11:30AM. My Prayers and thoughts go out to Mrs.Cebanka and Family. So sorry for your loss!!! I heard teddy retired in July and was Happy for him, knowing I was right behind him in 357 days . He was an outstanding worker and it is really sad he didn't get to enjoy his retirement with his wife and Family after all those years of work. May GOD BLESS YOU ALL.!!!

I worked with Teddy for many years and always had a great respect for Teddy. He cared about Safety and his fellow man. We also had amany laughs together. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family.

Teddy and I shared a lot of good times together when we were apprentices together with Local 80. Time passed as we each got married and raised our families. We worked together a couple years ago on a job in Dover. I worked for Teddy and we carpooled to the job. It was great to hang out again. The ride to and from work brought forth many old and new stories. On cold or snowy days we would leave work and go to breakfast. When I heard he retired I was so happy for him. The news of his passing has left me with an overwhelming sadness. I will miss him. Robin, you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
