WALTER CLOUD Obituary
Age 64 of Wilmington, DE, died suddenly on Monday August 10, 2009, in Lewes, DE.
Born in Wilmington, son of Joseph Cloud Sr. deceased and Elizabeth Walter Cloud, he worked until retirement with UPS delivering in the north Wilmington area and also drove part-time with Dynamic Physical Therapy. Mr. Cloud was a 1963 graduate of P.S. duPont High School and attended St. Joseph University and the University of Delaware on basketball scholarships. He enjoyed model trains, woodworking, golfing, NASCAR, humor and their two dogs, Cassie & Archie. Walter also proudly served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Beverly Greenberg Cloud and their daughter, Meredith Lindsey. He is also survived by brothers, Joseph and wife Joyce, Jeffery and wife Carol, Gregory and wife Brenda and many wonderful friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, at 11 am, in the MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike Wilmington, 19803. Visitation with the family will start at 10 am. Burial will follow in Lombardy Cemetery Rt. 202.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1501 Casho Mill Rd. Suite 1 Newark, DE 19711; or to your favorite charity.
