Whether it was his quirky sense of humor or telling you how it was and holding no punches. Gerow was a teacher that I would never forget. My prayers and thoughts go out to his friends and family. May you find peace in the happiness he brought others.

I remember Bill as a competitor in Cross Country and track from back in the day. Brandywine High was one of the main rivals of Newark High and Christiana High teams. He was a good guy and respected competitor.

Mr. Gerow was an amazing, wonderful teacher. I was one of the MANY students who did not have Mr. Gerow, but would hang out in his classroom. He was a very fun teacher who would make us laugh. Which helped make the school day way more enjoyable.

My deepest condolences to wife Dottie, who was his constant companion and devoted caregiver. I will remember Bill smiling and our sharing humor when we taught together at Newark High.

Mr. Gerow was a rare teacher. He was kind and funny and it always seemed that he made a special effort to look out for all of us students who were different. He changed lives and was an incredible person to know. My deepest condolences and so much love to the family.

Thank you for everything. You will be missed and loved. I can't begin to say what an impact you made on myself and so many of us who were your students and broken birds that you took under your wing. Thank you.
