William Hedrick Obituary
Wilmington, DE - William G. Hedrick Jr., 77 years old of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on March 14, 2018.
Bill was predeceased by his wife, Joan of 59 ½ years on February 19, 2018.
He started his career in 1960 with the Wilmington Park Police which merged with the Wilmington Bureau of Police and joined the New Castle County Police Department in 1968 retiring in 1986. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
Bill leaves to cherish his memory a son, William Hedrick, III (Joanne) and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21 from 10:30-12:45 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.
A short service will begin at 12:45pm with burial to follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
