William Kozlowski Obituary
AGE: 81 • Newark
William Kozlowski, Jr. 81, of Newark, DE passed away on August 24, 2015 surrounded by members of his family. William was born in Wilmington, DE on January 26, 1934, son of the late William Sr. and Mildred (Smulski) Kozlowski. A graduate of Wilmington High School, he went on to serve in the US Army, stationed in Germany. In 1961 he was appointed to the Wilmington Fire Department serving for 33 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Wilmington Firefighters Association, Local 1590 and enjoyed fishing and spending time at the beach.
William is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn (Golden) Kozlowski; his 3 sons, William M. of Wilmington, DE, Robert of Millville DE and Michael and wife, Karen of Landenberg, PA along with granddaughters, Emma and Erin; a sister, Marie and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be offered in St. Hedwig Church, Linden & S. Harrison Sts., Wilmington, DE at 10:30 am on Monday, August 31, 2015. Internment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison St., Wilmington, DE 19805.
