Age 57 of Wilmington, DE passed away Sunday, July 17, 2005.
Mr. Kuck served briefly in the U.S. Marine Corps and taught at Delaware Technical and Community College. Mr. Kuck graduated magnum cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 1981, obtaining his electrical engineering degree. In 1981, he joined the DuPont Co. in the electrical engineering department. After 13 years with DuPont, Mr. Kuck worked with B E & K Engineering and Facilities Management, Inc. in a consulting position. In 2001, Mr. Kuck joined the University of Delaware as their electrical engineer in facilities management. Mr. Kuck served as a Boy Scout troop leader, coaching Midway Little League baseball and soccer with the Kirkwood Soccer Club when his children were younger. He loved history, boating and computers, and made several family films.
Mr. Kuck is survived by his wife of 29 years, Katherine H. Kuck; daughter, Megan Kuck of Wilmington; and sons, Chad Kuck of Newark, Michael Kuck and his wife, Lauren, and their daughter, Julie Ann, of New Castle. Surviving sisters include Jeannette Selan and her husband, Dave, of Chesapeake, VA, Catherine Timmons and her husband, Sammie, of Scranton, SC, Melody Barwick of Effingham, SC and Gloria Aitken and her husband, Craig, of Salt Lake City, UT.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Limestone Presbyterian Church, 3201 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, on Friday morning, July 22, 2005, at 10 am. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, on Thursday evening, July 21, 2005, from 7-9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Kuck's memory to Limestone Presbyterian Church, 3201 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808.
