McVey

"Willy Lump Lump"

Age 36, of New Castle, DE, passed away tragically on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Born in Wilmington, he was the son of Sharon (Womer) McVey and Robert E. McVey. A fireman, he worked for the Christina School District for 18 years teaching maintenance and boiler technology. He was an avid collector of coins and Star Wars memorabilia. A brother, Patrick E. McVey, Sr., predeceased him.

William will be dearly missed by his parents, Robert and Sharon of New Castle; his brother, Robert E. McVey; his grandmother, Dorothy Wheatley McVey; a nephews, P. J. McVey, Jr. and Zachory McVey; fiancée "Jenn" Allen; aunts and uncles, Aunt Shirley and Uncle Cliff Thomas and Jim and Carol Shumate; nephew of Debbie, Brenda, Jeff, Dan and Terry Wheatley; special friends, Theresa Dorrell and the Hayes Family; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, at 11 am, at MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, Limestone and Milltown Roads (2509 Limestone Road), Wilmington, where friends are invited to visitation after 10 am. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association, 1501 Casho Mill Road #100, Newark, DE 19711.
