William Nester Obituary
"Bill"
Age 88, formerly of Claymont, DE, passed away on September 24, 2013 at Kent General Hospital
He was born in Chester, PA to the late Francis and Theresa Nester. Bill was a 1943 graduate of Archmere Academy. He was a WWII Air Force veteran. Bill retired in 1987 after 18 years as an electrician for ICI. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church where he sang in the choir. Bill was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Christopher Council, the American Legion and the New Castle County Irish Society.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Antalffy and his brothers, Francis and Thomas Nester. Bill is survived by his wife of 59 ½ years, Alberta Natale Nester, his daughters, Donna Barrowclough, Mary Nester, Patricia Young ( Liam) and Elizabeth Arnone (Marc), and his grandchildren, Danielle, Eric, Janine, Keith, Matthew, Jason, Alyssa and Joshua.
Friends may call on Monday, September 30, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary R. C. Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Dr., Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713

It's hard to believe that it has been 7 years since Uncle Bill went home to be with the Lord. I remember all the fun times we had at the cottage. I will never forget his love of playing horseshoes and taking us for rides on his boat. I will never forget his love for music and singing in the choir. One day we will all be together again just like the old days! Miss you so much, Uncle Bill.
