William Nutter Obituary
William H. Nutter, Sr., age 84, went to be with his Lord on Monday, February 25, 2013.
He was born in New Rochelle, NY to the late Eleanor (Tollison) and Herman Nutter and graduated from New Rochelle HS. He was a navy and merchant marine veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He retired from Avon in 1998 after working 38 years and was a forklift operator. He was a sketch artist, he loved reading and all sports especially football. But his passion was his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Drucilla (Fuller) Nutter; 4 children, Phyllis (Kelvin) Green, Tracey Nutter, Sherri (Edward) Anderson and William H. (Melissa) Nutter, Jr., 14 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his 4 siblings.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 3 pm, at the MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOME, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, where friends may call after 2 pm. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in William's name to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Dr. Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
