Daniel Dougherty Obituary
He was the son of the late George Dougherty and Mary Lou (Pyne) Sweeney.
He was a 1984 graduate of Salesianum High School and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 845. Dan was an avid fan of Notre Dame and Eagles football.
He thoroughly enjoyed life and loved spending time with family and friends at the Milmont Inn.
Survivors: Loving daughter, Erin; Mother, Mary Lou (Joseph) Sweeney; sisters, Colleen (Mike) Scelsa, Karen (Steve) Strazdus; Nephews, Sean Dougherty, Kyle Strazdus; nieces, Morgan and Alexis Kurtz, and Kelsey Strazdus; also survived by his dear friends Joey and Reenie O'Leary and their children, Rockne, Honey Girl and Brid.

I went to Sallies with "Doc" and we had a lot of good times and laughs. Dan enjoyed life and the IRISH. He will be missed, but I smile when I think of the times we had. "Doc" is at peace and he now has the best seat in the house for all the ND games. God Bless.

Mrs. Doc, I am sure my sadness over Danny's death does not compare to yours. He was a great friend to many people and we will never forget him. Although his life was cut short, he touched many lives.

I will be unable to attend any of the services for Dan due to other commitments but please know that you are in my thoughts during this difficult time.
