Doris Gamble Singley, 95 Doris Gamble Singley, 95 of Vienna, WV, formerly of Sharon Hill, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Wyngate Senior Living Community in Parkersburg, WV. She was born on September 14, 1919 in Darby, PA the daughter of the late Samuel Gamble and May Amanda Dunwoody. She was preceded in death by her husband Adam H. Singley Jr., and by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by a sister, Jean Mallgrave, of South Pasadena, CA. She was an active member of the Aldan Union Church in Aldan, PA where she was a member of the church choir. She also was a long time member of the Ridley Chorus. She was a skilled seamstress, enjoyed needlework, reading and cooking. She is survived by a son, Philip Singley (JoAnne) of Fairfax Station, VA, and three daughters, Elizabeth Singley of Alexandria, VA, Lynda Fisher of Jeffersonville, PA and Sue Doering (David) of Vienna, WV, and by 7 grandsons, one granddaughter, and 9 great-grandchildren. A viewing and service will be held at Aldan Union Church, 7 E. Providence Road, Aldan, PA 19018 on Monday, October 20, 10:00 am viewing, 11:00 a.m. service.
