Eva Mae (nee Searles) Blake, age 86 Eva Mae (nee Searles) Blake, age 86, of Essington, Pa. peacefully departed this life on October 8, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Eva was born in Rochester, New York to the late Fred Searles and Margaret Goodman Searles and was educated in the Chester schools. Eva was a member of Murphy AME Church in Chester. In addition to her parents, Eva was also pre-deceased by her daughter Denise Sharpe, her son Russell "Poo" Blake, her brother Walter Searles, and her grandson Nathaniel Savage Jr. Eva's beautiful memory will be forever cherished by her husband of 69 years Russell Blake, her children: Richard Blake (Gloria), Yvonne Savage (Nate), Marguerite Blake, and Eva Mosley (Gary), 1 brother William Groce, son-in-law Wendell Sharpe, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Service: Friday, October 17, 2014 11:00 a.m. at Murphy AME Church, 700 Yarnall St., Chester, Pa. Viewing: 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. No viewing after the eulogy. Interment: Private. Arrangements: Earl L.
