Evelyn Diament

Evelyn Diament (nee Maier) passed away peacefully under hospice care at The Shores in Ocean City, NJ on August 20, 2023. Evelyn is survived by her loving brother, John and loving niece, Lisa. Her late husband W. Alexander Diament predeceased her. After her husband's passing, Evelyn moved to Media, PA which she enjoyed very much. After graduation from Maria Gorretti H.S. in South Philadelphia, Evelyn took some classes at St. Joseph's University and started a long career as a buyer for the Defense Industrial Supply Center in Philadelphia. After marriage, Evelyn and her husband lived in New Jersey and had vacation homes in Cape May and The Poconos. Both were avid skiers. Evelyn liked to travel and visited foreign countries such as China and Ireland and domestic states such as Alaska. Evelyn died from complications from Parkinson's disease which she bravely fought for a number of years. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 26th at 11:30am at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 10:30-11:30am. Burial will follow in Edgewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory can be sent to the Parkinson's Foundation.
