Fond thoughts of your mother, my dearest sister-in-law, are embedded in my memory. I see her and your Uncle Art as children, examining each of baby Tula's fingers to make sure she had 5 on each hand, carrying her from room to room until Ya Ya found out what they were up to. It was with glee each time I heard Toots tell the story about how Uncle Art threatened to beat her up if she delivered the teacher note to their parents saying how he would not stop talking in class. Toots could barely tell her stories without laughing so hard tears rolled down her cheeks. I smile when I remember how Toots would ask me if she should kick her brother in the butt when he wasn't cooperating with me. Lastly I fondly remember how she welcomed me into the family even though I was Uncle A's second wife. Your mom Helen was a gem. I told her so many times, kissed her often, and miss her every day, as I know you do too. Hopefully time will crowd out your grief, allowing room for the return of many fond memories of a beautiful-from-the-inside-out mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend to many. Hugs and kisses to you all.
