Happened to find the St.Joseph's women's basketball game the other night on TV and immediately thought of Jimmy D and how he loved the Hawks. He even scheduled a game on Hawk Hill in which my daughter played. He was instrumental in the success of the Eddystone girls basketball program.

I find it difficult to believe that Jimmy won't be around to offer advice or a joke. His presence will ever linger around police circles until anyone who was around to enjoy working with him is gone.

We were deeply sadden when we learned of Jimmy's passing. My wife who worked with Jimmy for many years always spoke fondly of him. I got to know Jimmy through the horses. We would always get together at Jack's Tavern for the Triple Crown Races and Sunday's at Chester Downs. Jimmy was a generous guy who always shared with his occasional good fortune. His favorite number to play was #3.His daughter's basketball jersey. He would always play this number in some combination regardless of the odds. Jim always spoke proudly of his family and the time he had with them. I will miss him very much. Our prayers are with the DiRomualdo family.

Jimmy was a force in the development of the Eddystone Girls Basketball program. He was most generous with his time and I considered him a good friend. I have great memories of our times at Lighthouse Hall at tournament time. May choirs of angels lead you, my friend.
