Joann M. Loeper

Joann M. Loeper (nee Eisenacher) passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021. She was the beloved wife of former PA Senator F. Joseph Loeper. Loving mother of Joe (Linda), Jim (Laura), and Joanne and devoted grandmother of Joseph, Brian, Gavin, Lauren, Katie, and Jessica. Sister of Phyllis Floyd, Maribeth Warner (Jim), Arlene Eisenacher, Kenny, Dennis, and Richard (Donna) Eisenacher. Joann is predeceased by her parents, Arnold and Josephine (nee Riggio) Eisenacher. As a lifelong resident of Delaware County, Joann was a 1964 graduate of Interboro High School. While there, she was involved in the color guard and spent time out of school earning her Girl Scout Gold Award. She continued her education at West Chester State College where she earned a degree in Elementary Education in 1968. After college Joann dedicated 20 years of service as an elementary teacher in the Upper Darby School District, between Garrettford Elementary and Hillcrest Elementary, where she then retired. Among her many accomplishments, Joann served as a President of the Upper Darby Council of Republican Women and as a President of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Avalon Yacht Club. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with all of her children and grandchildren. She also fulfilled her dreams of traveling the world with her husband, Joe, having visited all 7 continents together in all of their journeys. She also enjoyed spending much of her time in the gardens, boasting some of the most beautifully landscaped grounds in both Thornton, PA and Avalon, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday, after 10:00 AM in the Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA 19008, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
