Unknown facts about my Father.
(American Hero)Army WW11 veteran spent 3 years(1942-1945) in the Philippines. He earned medals for first landings on several Philippine Islands.
Lost hearing in left ear due to combat shelling noise. He also engaged in hand to hand & eye to eye combat with the Japanese as many of our Soldier's did.
Joe worked for Electric Boat in the ("1950's)as a sheet metal worker in New London, CT. where they built and launched the first Nuclear Submarine(Nautilus). The Nautilus was also the first submarine to travel under the Polar Ice Cap.
In the(1960's) he worked as a Draftsman for the company that made the computer board & parts that went into the First Space Shuttle.
These are only a few of his accomplishments.
