Joseph Pacenza Obituary

Joseph "Joe" Nicholas Pacenza Sr., 83 Pharmacist and Musician Joseph Nicholas Pacenza, 83, born September 22, 1928, died October 2, 2011, at his home in Aston, PA. Joe was the son of the late Nicholas and Rose (Lucia) Pacenza of New Jersey. He was born in Philadelphia, PA. Joseph served in the U.S. Army as a trumpet player in the band from 1951-1953. He finished Temple Pharmacy School in 1957. He and his wife Roberta operated a pharmacy at State and Hilltop Rds., Upper Darby, PA for 12 years. They lived on Turner Ave. in Drexel Hill for 29 years before moving to the Wildwood Villas in New Jersey for 15 and then finally settling in Aston, PA with their daughter Robin. Joe was a lifelong musician playing in multiple bands all over the tri-state area including venues such as the Erie Social Club. Survivors: His loving wife of 57 years Roberta (nee Burns) Pacenza; his 3 children Rosemarie Barbera (Frank) of Northfield, NJ, Robin Hazlett (Bill) of Aston, PA and Joseph N. Pacenza Jr. of Aston, PA; also his 8 grandchildren Jennifer Schmidt, Melissa Zirolli, Matthew, Nicholas, Steven, Sabrina, Savanna and Sheyenne Pacenzas; his great-grandchildren Marissa, Ava and Allison Schmidt. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday 6 to 8 PM O'Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064. Burial: Private
