Josephine M. Simononis Martin, 94 Of Chester, PA Josephine M. Simononis Martin, 94, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2012 at Broomall Rehab & Nursing Center of Broomall, PA. Mrs. Martin was born and raised in Chester, PA. She lived in Wallingford, PA and returned to Chester, PA in 1975. Josephine was a warm and loving woman who built her life around her family. She was a member of Saint Katharine Drexel (formerly St. Robert Catholic Church of Chester, PA). She was an officer of St. Robert's Pioneers and belonged to North Chester Seniors, AARP and School House Senior Center. She did volunteer work at Riddle Memorial Hospital and St. Robert Catholic Church. Josephine enjoyed painting and crocheting. She donated many of her beautiful afghans to Fair Acres Nursing Home through the Pennsylvania Coalition of Motorcyclists. She was a former hairdresser and retired from Sun Shipbuilding as an accounting clerk in 1981. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Yankauski) Simononis. She was the wife of the late John B. Martin who died in 1970. Survivors: 3 sons Paul Martin, D.O. (Terry) of Dayton, OH, John A. Martin, CFA (Martha) of Pittsburgh, PA and Joseph J. Martin, Systems Administrator (Barbara) of Chester, PA; daughter Ann Moore, RPH (Patrick) of Barrington, RI; 8 grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild with 2 more on the way. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1920 Providence Ave., Chester, PA 19013. Visitation Friday after 9:45 AM at the church.
