Marjorie L. "Margie" George, 70 A resident of Stone Harbor, NJ and a former resident of Chadds Ford, PA Marjorie L. "Margie" George, 70, died on April 18, 2011 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland. Born in Ridley Park and raised in Norwood, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Irma George. Miss George was a 1959 graduate of Interboro High School. She had been a resident of Chadds Ford for 30 years before moving to Stone Harbor, NJ. She was employed as a supervisor in the Mortgage Dept. of Elmwood Federal Savings & Loan for 25 years until her retirement, and then went on to work at Artistic Auto Body in Prospect Park for a number of years. Miss George loved following the stock market and was always spending hours working at her computer. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family. Survivors: Her sisters Carol Ann McElhenny of Murphy, NC and Linda G. Jones of Swedesboro, NJ; her nieces and nephews Kim Young of Chicago, IL, Chris Burns of Clifton Hts., Kenny Jones of Swedesboro, NJ, Tracy Dornik of Chicago, IL, Debbie Jepsen of Logan Township, NJ, and Danny Jones of Prospect Park; her grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Funeral Service Friday, April 22nd, at 11 AM at The Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, in Norwood. Visitation: Friday from 10 to 11 AM. Burial Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill. I miss my Aunt Margie so much. She was like a mom to me and I think of her everyday! I dont think there was another aunt out there like her.

I will never forget my dear friend Margie and all the wonderful memories we made together. Her sense of humor was one of her greatest qualities and her love for her family was evident throughout the years. She was always there for me. I will miss her greatly.
