Mary Ounan Obituary
Mary Catherine Ounan, age 69, died July 27, 2015. Mary was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic Girls School in 1964. Most recently she resided in Glen Mills. Mary retired in 1998 after 34 years with the PA State Police Troop K in Philadelphia where she worked as the Administrative Manager. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle in Glen Mills where she also sang in the choir and participated in the architectural committee. Mary served as treasurer of the Chester Heights Historical Society and was a council woman of Chester Heights Borough. Mary was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Rodden) Ounan, sister of the late Francis and John Ounan and sister in law of the late Lucile Ounan.
Survivors: nephews: Mark and Kevin Ounan; and grand-nieces: Elizabeth and Angela Ounan.
Visitation: 9:30am-10:15am at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills. Funeral Mass: Friday at 10:30 am at St. Thomas The Apostle Church. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
In lieu of flowers: donation may be sent to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or to Team Rubicon Veteran Emergency Response, www.teamrubiconusa.com. Arrangements: Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, Aston, PA.

I am very sad to read of Mary's passing. She was a wonderful friend. We both were employed as administrative managers for the Pennsylvania State Police. After retiring we would try to get together a couple times I will miss her! May her memory be eternal. Janet Speros

i lived next door to mary in our old neighborhood in upper darby,pa.she was agreat neighbor and friend.i admired mary in so many ways and we had so much in common. still can't believe you are gone and we won't be laughing and talking again and meeting for 3 hour lunches. love to you and your family. you will be missed sooo much mar! xoxox
