Phyllis A. Edwards

Phyllis A. Edwards (nee Falvey), 73, a resident of Clifton Heights, passed away on February 21, 2022. Phyllis was born in Philadelphia to the late Edward and Margurite (Barr) Falvey. She was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School, and Delaware County Community College. Phyllis worked as a news reporter for the Daily Times, News of Delaware County and the Main Line Times where she retired from. She enjoyed baking, gardening, fishing, crabbing, swimming and boating. Phyllis crocheted baby clothes to donate to the NICU for sick infants. She loved traveling throughout the United States and watching beautiful sunsets. Phyllis was famous for her culinary skills. She made many wedding and shower cakes for friends and family. No event was complete without her cookies. She loved making delicious food and amazing mixed drinks for her family and close friends. Phyllis adored Christmas, and no holiday gathering will ever be the same for those closest to her. Phyllis was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Predeceased by her sister, Margaret Liszewski, Phyllis is survived by her husband of 34 years, George Edwards; children, Jennifer (Anthony) Santangelo, Jill Rice, Joseph Rice, Francis (Cathy) Edwards, George (Phyllis) Edwards, Michael (Marie) Edwards, Lisa Ellis and Marissa (Mike) Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Alexis, Jacob, Julia, Shaylah, Ellie, Rosemarie, Anthony, Gwenth, Nathaniel, Tyler, Matthew, Joshua, Rhoan and Nolan; great grandchild, Kieran; sister, Janet (John) McDonnell; special niece, Michele Maas. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: Monday, 9:30 am at St. Rose of Lima Church 1901 Chester Pike Eddystone. Funeral Mass: Monday, 10:30 am St. Rose of Lima Church.
