Phyllis Everett Obituary

Phyllis S. Everett, age 82, Phyllis S. Everett, age 82, of Lima, passed away February 11, 2013 at Granite Farms Estates. Phyllis, the daughter of George and Florence Smith (Bottomley), was born in Chester, PA. She grew up in Swarthmore and attended Pennsylvania College for Women (Chatham University). Following college, she became a teacher and married Frank M. Everett III. The couple settled in Wallingford where they lived all their life and raised their family. Phyllis helped manage the family business, Cavalier Car Wash. She was a dedicated volunteer in her community, working at Wallingford Swarthmore Community Classes, Helen Kate Furness Library, and Wallingford Presbyterian Church. She studied Children's Literature at West Chester University. In her spare time, she was an avid gardener and enjoyed a good game of bridge with her friends. Family time at the beach was another important part of her life. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Frank. Survivors: her loving sons Dale and Alan (Joanne) and her granddaughter, Clare Aoife. Her nieces, cousins, and many friends will also miss her. Service: will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Wallingford Presbyterian Church, 110 Brookhaven Road Wallingford, PA. There will be a calling hour from 12 to 12:45, preceding the service at 1pm. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers: contributions in memory of Phyllis may be sent to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation (PKD Foundation, 8330 Ward Parkway, Suite 510, Kansas City, MO 64114-2027) or Taylor Hospice (Taylor Hospice, 300 Johnson Avenue, Ridley Park, PA 19078-2284).
