Regina C. Gomez

1926-2017 Regina C. Gomez (nee Curran), age 91, of Twin Park Apartments in Aldan, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Westgate Hills Rehabilitation Center. Born and raised in NE Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (nee Magee) Curran. She had previously lived in Douglas, AZ and Houston, TX. Jean graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School in 1944. She became a technical draftsperson at Bell Telephone Company, where she worked for more than 20 years at two different sites. Jean was known for her knitting and crocheting and for entertaining guests with delicious home-cooked meals and baked items. She traveled to many countries, even embarking on an excursion on the Amazon River. A widow two times, she was predeceased by her husbands, Ferdinand J. Fischer and Antonio Romero Gomez. She is survived by her children, Fred Fischer (Clara) of Houston TX, and Nancy Peterson (Hugh) of Aldan. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, and her six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Eugene Church, 200 S. Oak Avenue, Primos. There will be a Calling Hour after 10:00 a.m. at the church.
