Richard Piroli

1947 - 2014

Richard "Rich" Piroli died suddenly on June 10, 2014. Rich, a longtime resident of Glenolden was born in Philadelphia on December 9, 1947. He was the husband of the late Carol Ann Piroli, his loving and ever supportive wife who tragically passed away with him on that same day. Rich should always be remembered as a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, cousin and friend; traits that more truly defined his life. Rich was best known as a jack of all trades who was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He retired 3 years ago from the construction industry where he worked for more than 40 years for several area contractors. He took great pride in his skills as a carpenter, concrete worker and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed vacationing and fishing in Wildwood Crest, NJ with his family and friends. He was the brother of the late Ronald Piroli.
Survivors: Rich is survived by his mother Stella DeVoy; step-father Joe DeVoy; his children Richard (Linda) Piroli, Gina Krick, Audra Gavaghan, Nicole (Mike) Salomone and Lynn (Matthew) Robinson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson, his sister in law Millie Weisz, his nephew Ronald Piroli, Jr. and several close cousins. He will be especially missed by his grandchildren Domenic, Phillip, Cheyenne and Montana whom he saw frequently.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Wednesday at 9:30am followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, South Ave., Secane, PA
