Robert Michael Kerns, 62 Robert Michael Kerns, 62, of Wilmington, DE, died on May 1, 2013 at home after a lengthy illness. Born in Upland PA and raised in Chester Heights, PA, he resided for the past 20 years in Wilmington, DE. He graduated from Garnet Valley High School Class of 1968 and attended Cheyney University. Bob was a Co-Owner of Kerns Brothers Tree Service and Landscaping in Wilmington, DE for the past 40 years. Bob was an ISA Certified Arborist and a member of the TCIA- Tree Care Industry Association. He was very proud of his successes on the Kerns Brothers softball team! Bob enjoyed camping and traveling to the beach and mountains, going to the Kerns Brothers shop on the weekends to tinker with the equipment, hunting, fishing and gardening. He especially enjoyed the company of his ferocious cat "Hope"! He is preceded in death by his parents, Lohr E., Jr. and Patricia Morris Kerns, Patricia Phillips, his fiance who died in 2008 and a nephew, Matthew Luongo. Survivors: 5 siblings, Lohr Kerns III, John (Susan) Kerns, David Kerns, Richard (Terry) Kerns and Ellen (Steve) Luongo; nieces, Heather (Matthew) Wohl, Dr. Suzanne Kerns, Danielle Kerns and Ashley Langdale; nephews, Michael Langdale, Timothy (Nicole) Luongo, Jonathan Kerns; great nieces, Kaylee Langdale and Sadie Wohl and great nephews, Owen Wohl and Abel Langdale. Services: Wednesday, 11:00AM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Visitation: Wednesday, 10-11AM, at the funeral home Interment: Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.
