Robert Moore Obituary

1928 – 2018 Robert E. Moore, 89, of Springfield, Aldan, and North Wildwood NJ, formerly of Sharon Hill, passed away August 24, 2018. He was born September 1, 1928 in Ridley Park to the late Edgar O. & Elizabeth (Pilkington) Moore. Bob proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from GULF Oil. He was a member of Folcroft American Legion, Goodwill Fire Co., Sharon Hill Vol. Police and Fireman. He was a Freemason of the Pennsylvania Blue Lodge. Bob was a devoted and hardworking family man who would always lend a helping hand. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 yrs., Margaret M. “Margie” (nee Boyle) Moore; a grandson, Billy Moore; Siblings, Thomas and Edgar “Bud” Moore. He is survived by his loving children, Bob Moore (Jackie), Joy McCann (John), Marybeth Ferguson (Edward) and Ed Moore (Kathy); Also survived by his twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Wednesday evening Aug. 29th from 6-8pm at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood and Thursday Aug. 30th from 10 AM until his Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 136 Saxer Ave., Springfield.
