Stephen Strazdus Obituary

1939-2014 Stephen F. Strazdus, 75 Stephen F. Strazdus, 75, of Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. Steve was born in Exeter, Pennsylvania and lived in Boothwyn for the past 38 years. He was the son of the late Frank and Stella Strazdus. Steve graduated from Chichester High School, he earned a drafting certificate from Temple University and graduated magna cum laude from Goldey Beacom College. He was a retired Millwright, from LocalUnion 1906. Steve was an active member of St. John Fisher Parish and was a member of The Knights of Columbus Council #14159. He enjoyed the Philadelphia Phillies, his cat Shamrock, woodworking and travels with his family and friends. Most of all, Steve relished in the title of "Pop-pop" and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Steve was a veteran of the Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David &Tony and his sister Helen Zebley. Survivors: his beloved wife of 47 years: Maureen (nee Hughes); daughter: Kathleen ( David) Stracke; son: Stephen (Karen) Strazdus; sister: Margaret Stamm; grandchildren: Charlotte, Tyler, Kelsey and Kyle; stepgrandchildren: Alicia, Alexa and Dylan; Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation: Thursday Evening from 6:30-8:30 at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston and Friday morning from 8:45-9:45 at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn. Funeral Mass: Friday 10:00 at St. John Fisher Church. Burial: Private.
