1924-2015 Thomas DiMarco Retired Stone Mason Thomas DiMarco, 90, died on August 19, 2015, after a brief illness. Born in Ardmore, PA, Mr. DiMarco was a resident of Springfield since 1954. He started working with the family company as a young man, where he learned to become a stone mason. Eventually he took over the management of the business, Alfonso DiMarco & Son, in Ardmore, PA, until his retirement in 1990. Tom was an Army veteran of WWII. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, as well as using his exercise bike. He was devoted to his family and to his dogs, especially his new puppy, Charlee. He is survived by two daughters, Veronica Prentice, Sandra Hinkle, three sons, Thomas (Ann), Dennis, and Richard (Cheryl) DiMarco, 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his wife, Veronica (nee Boyle) DiMarco in 2002 and a son, Michael DiMarco. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, August 24, after 9:00 AM at the Kovacs Funeral Home, Inc., 530 W. Woodland Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064, until the time of his funeral service at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
