Carlton Thompson, born May 3, 1934; son of Donald J. and Travis M. (Hayes) Thompson; passed away quietly at home on April 10, 2023, in Delaware County.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Van and Dwight Thompson; his sister, Helen J. Scott; and his daughter, Colleen A Thompson Sanderson Mattox. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Janet L. Havens; his sons, Jeffrey O. Thompson of Arizona and Christopher R. Thompson of Columbus; grandson, Matthew J. Sanderson; his children, Ella E. Sanderson and Cole C. Sanderson, all of Ashland, Ohio; granddaughter, Laura Tucker; her son, Trenton Tucker; and many nephews, nieces, family members, and friends.
After graduating high school from Marysville High School, Carlton served five years in the U.S. National Guard. In the later years of life, Carlton worked as a Maintenance Technician for Ohio Wesleyan University. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed woodworking, crafting, collecting, working around his home, and stories with family and friends.

I have known Carlton for many years. He, his brother and father built my house in the 60´s.
More recently I visited briefly with him at Delaware Hardware.
I will miss him. My condolence to his family and to my dear friend, Janet.
