Dronda Ellen Welsh, 74 of Ashley, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1st, 2025, at Sarah Moore in Delaware. Born December 21, 1950, in Delaware, Ohio, the only daughter to the late Donald Harry and Betty Jane (Walter) Desgranges. Dronda graduated from Delaware Hayes High School.
She worked as an insurance agent with Whitney Insurance Agency in Delaware for 50 years, retiring in 2019.
Dronda is survived by her sons Chris (Amanda) Welsh, Edward Welsh Jr. and Daniel Welsh; numerous grandchildren, including her newest granddaughter named Maeve Ellen; brothers Mike (Martina), Kevin and Richard Desgranges; numerous friends and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Edward Welsh in 2020.
When Dronda wasnt working and taking care of the kids, she enjoyed spending time bowling. She was a member of the Delaware women's bowling league and would bowl up to three times a week. She went to the Women's Nationals for bowling for over 35 years. She and Edward were also part of the Delaware Vintage Auto Club, where Dronda was the club photographer. She also made the centerpieces and wreaths for the club banquets and events. She loved taking her 1978 Chevrolet El Camino to car shows and especially decorating it up for all of the parades in Delaware. She was a gardener and loved tending to her flowers and vegetables. She and Edward also traveled to compete in fishing tournaments, which meant plenty of camping trips for the family. In her younger years she had and rode horses which she continued to adore throughout her lifetime.
Friends may call on the family on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Center, Delaware Chapel, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware, Ohio 43015, where services celebrating the significance of Dronda's life will take place at 6 p.m.

Dronda and Ed were special regular guests at Bob Evans. It was a pleasure to serve Dronda for 4 years. Dronda's strong will, friendship and our conversations will always be with me.
