COLUMBUS — Jo Ann Cornish-Gerwig, 64, of Columbus, died on January 18, 2018. She was a long-time resident of Powell, Ohio. Preceded in death by her parents Paul and Louise Cornish.
Survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Ron Gerwig; sisters, Joyce Quay and Janet Wartman; nieces, Leah Quay and Megan Dowdell; nephew, Nick Quay; extended family, friends, and three beloved pets.
Jo was a graduate of Olentangy High School and the Ohio State University. She was employed at Farmer's Insurance for over 30 years. Jo was former president and current board member of the Powell Liberty Historical Society, and a founding member of the Powell Garden Club.
Visitation is Monday, January 22nd 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and the funeral is Tuesday, January 23rd at 11 a.m. at Rutherford Funeral Home, 450 W. Olentangy Street, Powell. Burial at Union Cemetery will follow. Contributions in Jo's memory may be made to the Powell Liberty Historical Society, PO Box 385, Powell, OH 43065.

Jo was a dear friend and fellow gardener. She was such a generous and kind individual, always sharing her lovely plants from her garden with us. She will be missed by all of us and we will treasure our special memories sharing gardening ideas and special times together.
