FLORISSANT, Missouri — On Monday, July 24, 2017 at the age of 86, John went home to be with the Lord.
Beloved husband of Pat Reichelderfer (nee Haines); Loving father of Elizabeth (Robert) Stockdale and John (Laura) Reichelderfer; dear grandfather of 6; great-grandfather of 3; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle and friend to many.
John graduated from Willis High School, Class of 1949. He was a very good baseball catcher and football player and received honors in both sports. He joined the Air Force in January of 1931, and was a member of the 59th Aircraft Repair Squadron. He was stationed at Burtonwood Air Force Base in England for 3 years. Received an Honorable Discharge in December of 1954. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Pythias Grand Lodge 29, Delaware, Ohio. John was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Delaware, Ohio. He was a barber for 30 years in his own shop, and retired from Honda Manufacturing on Feb. 10, 1996.
He loved his family first, his many pets, and then his friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio or Hospice SSM Health (At Home Hospice), No. 2 Harbor Bend Court, Lake St., Louis, MO 63367 or Humane Society of Delaware County, 4920 State Route 37 East, Delaware, OH.
Interment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10 a.m. (meet at the gates).
