DELAWARE — Marvin E. Hardenbrook, age 91, of Delaware, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side.
Marvin was born on June 11, 1930 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Frank and Fay (Anthony) Hardenbrook. After graduating from Piqua High School, he was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. After being discharged, he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering at The Ohio State University in 1959. On June 2, 1962, Marvin married the love of his life, Martha Fae Robinson. Marvin retired from the State of Ohio in 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Fae Hardenbrook; two children, Mike and Jennie (Wells) Hardenbrook of Delaware and Wendy and Steve Barga of Hilliard; grandchildren, Randy and Julie Hardenbrook of Delaware; Scott Hardenbrook, of Marysville; along with two precious great grandchildren, Brendan and Michaela Hardenbrook.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by a brother, Reynold Hardenbrook; and sisters, Brenda Wahler and Marilyn J. Millhouse.
As per Marvin's request, there will be no services.
The Robinson Funeral Home, 32 West Winter Street, Delaware, OH 43015 is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 42217, Cincinnati, OH 45242 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
