Michael STACK Obituary
On September 13, 2014, Michael Patrick Stack passed away after a courageous fight with cancer.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Nadine; and his loving children; sons, Michael (Amber) and Nathan; daughters, Laura and Kathryn. He is also survived by mother, Joan; mother-in-law, Ann Bilinske; brothers, Daniel, Ted (Kerry), Peter (Monica), and Philip (Clara); sisters, Sr. Mary Clare, Margie (Brian) Gavriloff and Joanne (Randy) Wachowicz. Uncle Mike will be fondly remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews. "Dad" will be missed by his honourary family Sule and Gloria Wai and children. Predeceased by his father, Judge Edward Stack and father- in-law, Walter Bilinske.
Ever the dreamer and entrepreneur, Michael will be missed for his warm smile, charitable nature and perseverance in the face of adversity.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kaasa and the Magrath Medical Clinic staff, Bayshore staff and Palliative Home Care Team, the doctors and nurses at the Cross Cancer Institute, the Brain Care Centre and the doctors and nurses on unit 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital.
Prayer Vigil and Visitation Monday, September 22 at 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.
Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 7508 – 29 Avenue. Reverend Jim Corrigan officiating with interment in Rosehill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brain Care Centre, 10106 - 111 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5G 0B4.

Dear Nadine and family and especially to Michael, my former Kindergarten student,
Michael's journey over the past many years has been a difficult one and I'm sure, very difficult for you. I just want you to know that through the times that he was so actively involved in the educational lives of his children and the children of the communities of St. Monica and St. Mary schools. Michael earned the respect and the appreciation of both parents and staff. As a teacher in both schools, I personally held him in very high regard for his ability to lead and his thoughtful and considerate ways. He was truly a great man. May he rest in peace and may you cherish the memories that you have of the wonderful person that he was.

Nadine and Family: So saddened to hear of Michael's passing. Starting in 1992 the Stack Family were an integral part of our St Mary CS community/family. Michael Chaired our Parent Advisory and donated countless hours to enhancing the educational opportunities for the students of our school. The Stack Family,
I was so saddened to read about the passing or Mike. I will always treasure fond memories of Mike as we grew up together at Pigeon Lake and all the fun we had as youngsters on the beach. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by many.
