Nancy Ann Jewett, 91 of Delaware, passed peacefully in the early morning hours of March 31, 2023, at the Willow Brook Christian Village in Delaware. Born June 6, 1931, in Ostrander, Ohio to Glen and Bess (Phillips) Stout.
She graduated from Ostrander High School in 1949, where she was a cheerleader for 3 years. On April 30,1954 she married Richard Jewett at the Ostrander Presbyterian Church. They moved to Delaware and started their family. Nancy worked part-time while raising the children. She retired from the Delaware County ASCS office.
She was a member and attended the First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, and served as Deacon and Trustee. She volunteered at Grady Memorial Hospital, and was a 20-year hospice volunteer. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, and a 60+ year member of the Jack and Jill mothers club.
The family enjoyed camping and traveling, to all but three states. Richard and Nancy also traveled to England with John and Donagene Jewett.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Richard (Dick) Jewett, three brothers Glenn, John, and Joe Stout, and sister Linda Montey.
She is survived by daughter Emilie (Craig) Brown; son Richard Philip (Heather) Jewett; grandchildren Erin (Joshua) Amoroso, Tad (Tamara) Ross, Beth (Eric) Wetzel, and Ben Brown; great-grandchildren Gavin, Chloe, Oliver, and Lily Amoroso, Atticus and Thurston Ross, Jaden, Kai, Jack, and Leo Wetzel, Rowyn, Jude, and Lila Brown; brother Donald Stout; brother-in-law John Jewett; many special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. in the Robinson Funeral Home, 32 West Winter Street, Delaware, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5th at 11 a.m., with Rev. Kevin Kinnison of Columbus, officiating. Private burial to be held in Fairview Cemetery, Ostrander.
Memorial contributions may be given to the First Presbyterian Church, Delaware and to Delaware and Union Counties, Habitat for Humanity.
