DELAWARE — Paul David "Pete" Fowler, 68 of Delaware, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Born January 19, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late James Paul Carl and Nora Marie (Thompson) Fowler.
Pete met the love of his life Marilyn "Mary" Burton in May 1972, and married December 15, 1973. Pete was a member of the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church. He worked in construction and several other trades, and was a crew supervisor for numerous years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Paula Fowler in 2001, and father-in-law Dave Burton Sr.; brother Jim Fowler; sisters Marty Darling, and Thelma Shegna.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48.5 years Mary Fowler; daughter Shannon (Don) Cook; grandchildren Tiffany Logan, and Ben; great-grandchildren Jase Priest and John Teague; mother-in-law Dottie Burton; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, but especially, special cousin George Thompson, special friends Jerry Ball and Kurt Yoder, and Bobby and Gloria Caldwell, and nurse Nel Carlson at Grant Medical Center, who took such great care of Pete.
Pete was the best husband, father, and grandfather there was. He was loving, kind, and sometimes hard headed. He and Mary enjoyed riding his Harley, whether it was just down the street, or cross country. He enjoyed any kind of wrestling, and the occasional slot game at the Casino. Pete was a man who put God first, and was always saying "It is, what it is."
Family and Friends may call from 2—4 p.m. and 6—8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr., Delaware, Ohio 43015, where Pastors Walter "Buddy" Spaulding and Andy Freeman will officiate a funeral service at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with pallbearers George Thompson, Tiffany Logan, Joey, Tristan, Glen, and Shawnie Burton, as well as his wife and daughter.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed towards the funeral home to assist with expenses.
