OSTRANDER — Raymond Christopher "Chris" West, age 68, of Ostrander, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Riverside Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Born in Beaver Falls, PA, he was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Joan (Hine) West.
Remaining in love are his wife of 46 years, Marjorie "Margie"; sons, Ryan (Jessica), Ian (Melissa), and Evan (Lindsay); and grandsons, Luke and Owen.
Additional surviving family includes Chris' sisters, Cathryn (John) Reader, Nancy (Bill) Boyd, Jill (John) Williams; and brother, John (Gail) West.
Chris retired in 2014 from a 35-year career with Liebert Emerson Network Power. He also worked as a consulting engineer for HA Williams and Van Stratten and Edwards Consulting Engineers. He was a graduate of Penn State University and Mount Vernon Nazarene University with degrees in mechanical engineering and business management respectively.
Chris enjoyed spending time with family (especially his grandchildren), taking spontaneous road trips, golfing, camping, and volunteering in the community. A true jokester, he was an embellished story teller, who's everyday was a Saturday, except Sunday.
Chris was a member of Bellpoint United Methodist Church, 4771 St Rt 257 S., Delaware, Ohio 43015 where a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by 12:30 p.m. services.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association or Bellpoint United Methodist Church. Arrangements entrusted to Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, Delaware.
