WORTHINGTON — Rodney D. Conklin, 69, of Delaware, Ohio, died Thursday, May 5, 2016, at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville.
He was born Sept. 10, 1946 to the late Donald (Red) and Lillian (Marie) Conklin.
Rod was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He served in the United States Navy and retired from The Timken Co. He continued to work after retirement as a residential and commercial painter. Rod was a generous man who forged many friendships. He was surrounded by family and many friends in his final days.
He is survived by his sister, Lisa (Andrew) Conklin-Moffatt; brothers, Mark Conklin and Dan (Stephanie) Conklin; nieces, Tracy (Patrick) O'Connor and Gale (Antonis) Samiotis; nephews, Mark Conklin Jr., Harrison Conklin and Ethan Conklin; 8 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces.
There will be no services.
Donations can be made to Mount Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.
