Thomas R. Crampton, 74, passed peacefully May 13, 2022, at his home.
He was born October 24, 1947, the son of the late Richard and Laura (Rohrs) Crampton in Malinta, Ohio.
He graduated from Malinta Grelton High School, Class of 1965. Following graduation, he attended International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana to study accounting. Every fall he enjoyed cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. Tom also had a love for playing golf. Early in their relationship Pat often would caddie for him on weekends. The family shared a love of fishing. After the boys were grown, the annual family fishing vacation at Marble Lake in Michigan began. At the end of the vacation a fish fry celebration was enjoyed by all.
As an avid member of the Delaware Seventh-day Adventist Church, Tom and Pastor Dave Robinson would go visiting shut-ins who Tom had met while driving bus for DATA (Delaware Area Transit Authority). He loved meeting people and bringing them to church on Sabbath.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gary R. Drake and his father-in-law Roland R. Drake.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Pat; his son's Mark (Sara) and Scot; three grandchildren, Jaxson, Karleigh, and Ripley; brother, Tony (Beverly) Crampton; sister-in-law, Barb Drake and his mother-in-law Mary Jane Drake.
