Weslynne Niemeyer Obituary
Weslynne "Wes" E. Niemeyer went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 12, 2025, surrounded by family, she was 81. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Violet L. and Alfred D. Albers on Nov. 8, 1943.
Wes married her church camp sweetheart Richard "Dick" D. Niemeyer October 7, 1961, at White Oak Christian Church. Together Wes and Dick had to boys, Eric (Stephanie) Niemeyer of Powell, Ohio and Jason (Kelly) Niemeyer of Punta Gorda, Florida who survive.
Wes was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother James "Butchy" Roberts, sister-in-law Judy Albers, mother and father-in-law Mathilda (Busch) and Paul C. Niemeyer, grandson Maxwell Richard Niemeyer.
Also surviving are Wes' sister Marilyn (Don) Gadberry of Charleston, South Carolina; brother Dennis (Yvonne) Albers of Oklahoma City Oklahoma; brother Alfred David Albers of Cincinnati. Wes was "Grammy" to granddaughters Madison Niemeyer of Columbus, Ohio; Hannah Niemeyer of Nashville, Tennessee; Lindsay Niemeyer of Nashville; Alix (Jacob) Chandler of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Madison Stone of Punta Gorda; great granddaughters Stormi and Preslee Chandler and Hadley Oguin. In addition, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous lifelong friends scattered across the U.S.
Wes was always an active member of her church making significant contributions at White Oak Christian Church, Cincinnati; First Christian Church, North Canton, Ohio; Christian Church of Clarendon Hills, Clarendon Hills, Illinois; Community Christian Church (charter member), Naperville, Illinois and most recently Worthington Christian Church, Columbus.
Wes dedicated her life to being a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker. In addition, Wes had many hobbies including Longaberger baskets, antiques, sewing, wallpapering and of course her Ohio State Buckeyes! Wes spent countless hours at the ball field being score keeper for Dick and son Jason. Wes enjoyed spending time with family on annual fishing trips (most of the time antiquing) and various vacations. Wes was also instrumental in helping the family establish MadMax Farms, a row crop farming operation started in 2005 by Eric and Stephanie Niemeyer honoring their late son Maxwell Richard Niemeyer.
We will honor Wes' life Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Worthington Christian Church, 8145 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43235. Visitation will be 10 a.m. ET with the service immediately following.
