DEAR Shirley,
Bonnie just called with the news, otherwise, I'd not have known. I'm grateful to her for the call.
I've known for years Charles was ailing, and many's the time I've said I wanted to call you two, but I never got around to it. You two have been in my mind and heart for you-know-how-many years. Sixth grade is a long way back, and you and I go back further than that.
You and Charles have always been special to me. I wish I'd said it often. I'll be at the house for you somehow, Wednesday, is it? I looked for your house once before and couldn't find it. I'll find it this time, one way or another.
Much love always,
Jetta

Shirley, Eric and Dawn,
Such a shock to learn of Charles' passing. He will be remembered for his wonderful personality; he always left you laughing. I can't recall many times seeing him that he and Shirley weren't together; they truly were best friends. It saddens me to think of the sorrow this has brought to all of you but I hope your many happy memories serve to comfort you. Our condolences to the entire family.

Shirley, Eric and Dawn:
We were so shocked to read of Charles' death. We didn't know he had been sick. We will always remember those fond memories of Charles when he and Freddy worked together at J. C. Penneys. May God bless you with strength in this sad time. We will be praying for you.

Shirley and Eric, I'm so sorry to hear of Charles' passing. He gave me my first job at Benjamin's and was such a delight to work with. He was a very talented man. And always made us smile. I have very fond memories of Charles. May God be with you during this time, and seek him for comfort.
