Charles Edward Pruitt

Fruitland - Charles Edward Pruitt, 70, of Fruitland, passed away surrounded by family and friends, on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at his home. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Clonie Cleveland Pruitt and Nannie Edna Mae Vance Gross Pruitt.

He faithfully attended the Fruitland Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. He was self-employed at Plus Electrical Apparatus repair. He was a former employee at DEMCO. He loved fishing, softball and was an avid Ravens football fan, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was the most spectacular husband in the world and very dedicated to his wife and family.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Georgia; a daughter, Tina M. Davis of Laurel, DE; 4 sons, Charles Pruitt, Jr. & his wife, Brittany of Lakeland, FL, John Hilton, II & his wife, Christina of Powellville, Shane Hilton of Parsonsburg, and Shannon Hilton of Fruitland; 8 granddaughters; a grandson, Charles Edward Pruitt, III; 2 great-granddaughters; 4 sisters and 6 brothers.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 1:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Union Franklin City Cemetery in Greenbackville, VA. Officiating will be Leon Jones.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Fruitland Kingdom Hall and or the American Cancer Society.
