Claire Esham Obituary
Salisbury - Claire Esham, 82, of Salisbury, MD passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Nannie Figgs.
Claire was a nurse at PGH, she also did private care for several different families. It was her nature to reach out and help people in any way she could. In her later years she worked for the Board of Education as a bus assistant. She worked on special needs buses; she called all the children "her kids". She was very close to them and their parents. Claire even after retiring from the Board of Education was always helping someone do something, she never could sit still. She was a strong woman of faith who loved and worshiped the Lord Jesus Christ.
Claire is survived by a brother, Barry Figgs; three sons, Wayne Figgs and his wife, Kathy of Salisbury, Eddie Stevenson of Salisbury and Gil Stevenson and his wife, Connie of Laurel, DE; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Claire was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Esham, and son George (Sonny) Stevenson and two brothers Bruce Figgs, Sr. and Earl (Bunky) Figgs, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 3 pm at Parkway Church of God in Salisbury. The Rev. Bill Reid will be officiating.

I would like to say that I loved my AUNT CLAIRE. I’m the kind of person that would do just about anything to make her happy and whatever she needed I will try to do for her. I loved her with all my heart she will be missed by me. She always called me her special niece. I will come over and sit down with her and talk for a while. I am so glad that she’s not in pain anymore and that you GOD Has her rejoicing with you in heaven. You will always be in my memories and in my heart. Fly high my Sweet Aunt . I love you may you rest in peace.

There are many things I like to say about my aunt Clara. I’ve always loved her she was so special to me. She always called me her specialness because I was always there if she needed me. I would do anything in this world to make her happy. I knew God gained an angel She certainly has her wings I know she’s watching over me because she knows how much she’s a part of me
