Edward W. Pusey

Snow Hill-Edward W. Pusey, 82, of Snow Hill passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 15, 2015. Edward was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Suzanne. He was the son of the late Elwood Eleck Pusey and Vera Townsend Pusey of Eden.

Eddie worked for Suburban Propane for years and retired to enjoy his many friends and family always keeping active in Snow Hill. He was a member of Whatcoat United Methodist Church in Snow Hill since childhood. He loved to watch baseball and enjoyed playing ball when he was young. He served in the Army as a young man, stationed in Alaska. He was also loved by all who knew him, and a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, uncle, son, brother, neighbor and friend to so many in the community and he will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his son, Jeff E. Pusey and his wife, Judy of Snow Hill; a daughter, Robin S. Joseph and her special friend, Don Walker of Snow Hill. He also leaves four beloved granddaughters; Karly, Morgan, Alex and Peyton Joseph, a brother Leroy Pusey and his wife, Cathy and their children; Lisa, Tammy and Heather and a sister Alice Gordy and her husband, Richard, and their children; Rick, Jay and Vicki. He leaves a special sister and brother in law, Billy and Betty Laws and their daughter, Kim and many extended family members. Also left behind is a close lifetime friend, Roger Richardson. Eddie was blessed with many wonderful neighbors, such as Gerry and Barbara Tribeck and Vic and Naomi Smullen, whose love and support were greatly appreciated.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11 am at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with Pastor and friend, Andy Frick officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am. Interment will follow at Whatcoat Cemetery in Snow Hill.
